I'm really liking that Directory function on the panel. It looks incredibly convenient.

I'm impressed, it's becoming quite powerful and it looks (to me) like even the standard window borders are improved.
Hopefully it can mostly remain as lightweight.

I love xfce, it's fast, thunar has bulk renamer and xfwm has a lot of options (i like windows to appear under the mouse).
About the button options, it's not new, it was there on 4.6, and I think on 4.5 also.

Now when the big move to Unity shell in Ubuntu 11.04 is coming, I just might to first try the Unity out, both the 3D and 2D versions, and if I decide not to like them, then I probably will go for the XFCE environment. Looks nice.

the really big change i see in xfce 4.8 are the windows borders, now they are rounded of course there are other changes but that is what i noticed more.
a change i would like to see is the panel, they should make it a little bit prettier, it just looks like a stripe... but anyway xfce is my main DE, together with KDE, but i use xfce more.

What I like of Xfce is that it looks a lot like Gnome 2

I went to Xfce because Unity is bleh and GNOME Shell is bleh, KDE is a resource pig ( I use a netbook ) Xfce works fine on my box :)

Nah entlich jemand, der Deutsch spricht. Ich kann besser Deutsch als Englisch. (bin aus Polen). Nah ja. XFCE ist sehr gut für langsame Komputer (z.B. für meinen Komputer :D) aber es ist nicht so schlimm. ;P Ich hab auf meinem Athlon XP 2200+ (32-bit) Fedora 15 mit GNOME 3 ;p. Ich muss sagen es läuft sehr gut. Ah, ja und gutes Video. :P
