In this video, Keith Barker covers Check Point’s architecture and policy. This is a key component of Check Point’s Certified Security Administrator (CCSA). Keith discusses the smart dashboard, management server, gateway server, firewall, and how each of these is designed to interact with the others.

There are two critical components to this video: Check Point’s architecture and its policies. Keith digs into the underlying architecture, starting with the smart dashboard and describing how policies are stored on the management server and then pushed to the gateway. He begins with a high-level overview of how this policy system is structured, then jumps over to the smart dashboard. In addition to setting up port address translation and network address translation, Keith will show you how to create a policy, publish it through the management server to the gateway, and then run a simple test to determine whether it’s working correctly.
