I don't need to find the perfect uni, first of all I need to find the perfect degree programme ...
Is it just me who's so indecisive? 😅

Great video with some great advice! One thing I would add that I have realised since I have begun working in universities in recent years, and didn't really consider when I was applying for university, is try to find out what the typical tutor to student ratio will be for your classes/workshops/tutorials or whatever you have. I teach maths, and for example, when I was working at Lancaster University every module the students took would have a bunch of workshops with about 1:15 ratio. However I now realise that this is not totally the norm, and many unis have much worse ratios. It is quite common, for instance, to have some kind of "solution lectures" with a tutor giving a lecture to maybe 80-150 students on the solutions to the homework problems, in place of any kind of smaller class/workshop etc. This is well worth asking about at any open day you go to.

Don’t know why I’m watching this when I’m already in my second year of uni, but this would have been so useful two years ago! And also this made me realize once again that the uni I’m at really is my dream uni lol

What about people who go to uni and don’t move out?
Would be great to have a video on this maybe you could bring on a guest who has done this.

Hey, first year master's student here. I'm not from the UK but for my bachelor's degree my best moments were definitely my exchange, so definitely also look into information about student exchange opportunities in each university! Start planning early.

Shoutout to all my fellow EU/international students studying/wanting to study in the UK and not being able to visit the uni or the city :D Being from continental Europe, I moved to Cardiff in 2016 to study without ever having been there before. Best decision of my life! I have stayed on to do an MA. I also did a semester abroad in Norway. Be brave, move away from home, you will learn so much :)
