I think people will find that with the right build every class is busted. Some just get there faster, so they need to work on the early game balance.

Warriors/Barbs are the best class in every game. starts as difficult but once you get the proper items it will slay..

To be fair, I remember a certain video by asmon who said he specifically wanted to be able to make a build under each class that felt broken but was totally allowed. And that doing so was part of the fun.

When the game comes out, I'm going to make a sorc-melee build. I tried to make one in beta but I just didn't have enough levels to make a proper one. Next time I'm giving myself all the defensives, blizzard, chain lightning, and turn myself into a teleporting elemental murder fest

The best thing this suggests is that itemization really is important. Hopefully not in the "64, 000% increased crit damage" D3 way, but at least it's not just bad class balance like everyone thought.

Now TBF, monsters will have increased armor and resistances on higher levels/world tiers. So our dmg may not scale as high as we think

I used the open beta to "minmax" my barb and to play around with gear / abilities and builds in general. I also got a well geared sorc with +1 hydra and all the other good stuff. If I compare the two, my upheavel barb just crushes anica's claim, pretty much one shotting all the big goats while being much simpler (and more fun) to play. The uptime of vulnerable seems to be a pretty big factor here. In barb I trust.

1. Kill rare mobs that drop weapons with a fixed level requirement
Or
1. Put weapons with lvl requirements spaced 5 lvls apart in your chest with your main class
Or
1. Buy some random rare
2. Level up to that level
3. Equip the weapon and one shot everything

Will work on barb and druid leveling up. The gear you drop at lvl X is typically much lower in its level requirement, equipping a weapon that has a higher requirement boosts your power significantly.
