I did a lightning build and managed to get Hydras off of an item that I put in a passive skill slot. It was pretty great. I really like Wizard/Sorcerer/MagicPerson I hope they bring some of the other classes up in power a bit more to be closer to it.

It felt both good, but also somewhat bad to baseball slide in at half someone's level and explode everything around them in half a second. It's Diablo, everyone should feel like a bad-ass IMO. Hopefully that's adjusted over time.

If properly geared, every class should feel OP. That's part of the draw in every Diablo game. He didn't even reroll any gear or farm the 35 guy to have level appropriate gear. Most people are using lvl 15 stuff at 25.

i played barb, saw this and tried sorc and i was like "ARE YOU KIDDING ME" barb is straight hard and its the armor class. i cant even stand still. i must run around.

Maybe the case that barb is undertuned rather than sorc is overtuned. Will totally balance out at endgame though. 😂

A good friend of mine was a lead systems designer on Civ 2. They hit a big pre-alpha milestone so him and the other leads was flown up to DC area (HQ) to give a status report on progress. Sid came up to him and asked “So persons_name, how’s it going?” He launched into a detailed technical rundown and mid-update, Sid, who wasn’t really listening, held up a finger and said, “Ok persons_name I know you’ve achieved a lot of milestones, but none of that will answer my question...” and he pointed out to the main floor where around 40 non-employees were playtesting the latest build. He said “They’re the only ones who get to answer that question. Let’s go talk to them and find out.”

I always thought that was bad as shit, and it figures Sid Meyer has such an incredible track record.

that barbarian build is insane because all mobs in the hardcore dungeon have one shot in the moment they attack you so you can only walk around the world and the demons die at your feet, I think it doesn't matter if it takes you 10 more seconds to kill a boss
