We’re probably doomed, since almost half of people in the world still deny that this is even a problem.

Going away with the oil and gas industry may not be entirely bad, but in doing so, you better have a good, feasible plan in place to fulfill energy requirements for now and into the future. But nobody has such a plan. Maybe where the wind always blows and the sun always shines during the day, it could be possible, but here, we can go weeks without seeing direct sunlight, snow covers solar panels, and when there's no wind and no sunlight like it is for 16 hours a day, getting off of fossil fuels is not a feasible option unless massive energy storage technology can happen. But democrats seem to have an awful lot of difficulty understanding this. It helps to actually understand how electricity works and from where it comes before pushing for policy changes. To top it off, I see VERY few environmentalists who are willing to turn down their air conditioner on a hot day.

The future will depend on energy STORAGE as well as cleaner methods of production.

You site the UN like those corrupt politicians have some sort of credibility. You may as well just start looking for new jobs now. When you resort to looking to politicians for facts, you're done..

the Anthropocene and the Holocene epochs are not real as we are in the middle of the 44th interglacial period from the beginning of the Pleistocene, 2.7 million years ago...and CO2 is not a measurable climate warming gas and always lags 800 years after the last warming period, the Medieval warming period, 900-1300CE, which was 1.5 degrees centigrade warmer than now and marked the end of the Dark Ages and the earth flourished, is the generator of today's slight CO2 rise if we get a 2 degrees of climate rise the earth will be in great am a geophysicist with 40 years of paleo-climate interpretation

And the number of people on the earth? every new born baby produces impact. Having children after 30, sexual education, can help. This is not a issue that we will solve with one solution. To much talk. Whath are the efforts tha the municipalites are doing? nothing....

I try and buy alternative energy heat pumps and air conditioning units and energy storage systems and they are made mostly in China. A countries strength today, will come from independence away from fossil fuels. The dependence on fossil fuels weakens a people, a country and a world.
