A new United Nations report on climate change has been released yesterday. The UN say the world needs to step up its efforts to stop catastrophic climate change, A new report from the United Nations environment agency found greenhouse gas emissions rose in 2017 - after three years of decline. It say the world is losing the race to cap global warming at two degrees Celsius - the target set out in the 2015 Paris climate treaty. A key UN climate conference starts in Poland this weekend.

When people move from third world countries to OECD countries, they do so with the intention of increasing their energy and resource consumption. We must stop allowing them to move into our countries. We have, on average kept our fertility to fewer than two children per woman, thereby constraining our consumption.
