I sit here in my house, 'recycling' all my jam jars and food packaging, taking my food waste to my compost heap, switching off my lights in empty rooms, trying to minimise my impact on the world as best I can... and dreaming of the day I can afford to buy an electric car or solar panels and reduce my carbon 'footprint' ...and yet I have to listen to the endless rumble of jumbo jets flying into and out of Gatwick airport every day blasting tons of Co2 into the air with every take off. Some footprints are a lot bigger than others. I think mine is about as small as I can afford to make it already.

I am all for planting trees! I did that Forest Service job when I was 19! It’s not hard. But, let’s roll of this! The feds needs to redo this government employment. It’s a lovely idea. Not that hard to do.

Crying wolf... in the 80’s the dire warnings were a new ice age.... Glaciers have been receding for 12, 000 years. This is fear mongering....

Why so late, postfactum even I can see changes now. This generation of grownups didnt do much to save the climate (did around 10% of what they could)- in my opinion. Thank u guys.

Ain’t on the people, talk to the corporations. Talk to China . Talk to the billionaires stroking egos flying to space. The individual ? Can’t do anything.

Remember, we don’t really have any leaders or even any statesmen or stateswomen in Washington, all we have are politicians. If you live in certain areas you should have a contingency plan. Remember how Katrina was handled?, look out for yourself and your family.

Gray water from sinks could be diverted back to the ground or gardens instead of letting it mix with sewage also flushing the toilet less would save millions of gallons of water every week also if sewer systems were modified to work as methane digesters, sewers would produce less CO2 into the environment and produce usable cooking water heating furnace gas and fertilizer, 2000 watts solar on every roof, rain collection systems and storage, solar air heaters to cut the use of gas and electric heat in the winter, grow edible plants in the windows during the winter, collect harmful algae blooms from our lakes ponds rivers and oceans and make bio fuels and bio Plastic, solar water still solar desalination still, we could all walk alot more and have alot less kids, build smaller houses on smaller chunks of land get rid of grass for the lawn and have a garden that feeds you, bamboo is as strong as steel and yet can be turned into rope or threads and grows fast takes down lots of CO2 and can replace lot of things we make from plastic wood metal and cotton, hemp take down lots of CO2 grows fast in any soil and need little water can be used for food rope paper hempcrete fuels pain med building materials, stop using pesticide and weed killers, shut down coal power plants, turn used plastic into fuel by pyrolysis, geothermal energy /heating and cooling . I'm sure there's many more ways to help slow climate crisis

This is that matters. My children are more important then your pride, pension, or dollar . The dollar has to die and get replaced with a power exchange medium that incentives nuclear energy.

I want an electric F150 but don’t have many electrical vehicle charging stations in more rural parts of my state, which I frequent. The democrats need to create jobs by creating the infrastructure needed to move us away from fossil fuels AND having private companies cross train their workforce. We have gas stations. Repurpose them into EV stations. This should’ve been done 15 years ago.

Since March of last year, every thing on the news has been "urgent." The great depression was Urgent. The Vietnam war was Urgent. So was the financial theft of 2008.

I wish we stayed in the forests, harvested sustainable foods from the great plains and thrived a simple amazing life without having to think about how deadly the next year is going to be. You think millennials have it bad. Stop putting your stock into unsustainability. How is the canary doing 😪? Is this what life is about right now? Why are we so curious about space when all we ever needed was to understand earth and how to protect it to the fullest.

A wise man once said, "We can land on comet but we don't understand the life of a bee".
