Great job. I have about a dozen sprouts. I did start the seeds in the fridge with a soil mix. Thanks

I love your videos! I have learned so much about how to collect and sow seeds from you. My husband says I'm virtual gardening, but I tell him I'm learning!! My goal this year is to only go to the nursery to look! I have successfully collected impatients, wave petunias, coleus, and begonias from my plants from last year, and my germination rate has been so good that I have enough plants for my family and neighbors! I did purchase a few other seeds that I did not have but next year I will have seeds from my new plants to sow. You are definitely my go to person for seed collecting! I also use your suggestion of keeping a list on the Google Sheets which is perfect to organize and add notes for next year. I have even started mixing my own potting mix from your videos. Thank you for sharing all your information! It's much appreciated!!

Thank you for taking the time to let us know, I recently planted lavender and was disappointed with the low germination rate. This is very helpful information.

I'm a first time gardener and I'm trying the winter sow method - although it is known not to grow well in my area. I THINK I see a little green poking through the soil. I just read from a regional FB group that my area will have a better chance with Spanish Lavender (I have English)- but still would be a long shot. If I'm not successful this year, I may try the Spanish Lavender next year.

I am not even all the way through your video and have already found it so informative. This is my first time starting lavender from seed and you have answered most, if not all of my questions. Prior to viewing your video, I did stratify my seeds for much longer than you did but I'm not really sure that matters. Many others say 4-6 weeks of stratification. This process is supposed to replicate winter which is several months anyway. My questions began once I was germinating my seeds. I did as you did and was worried about how long my germinated seeds were taking to grow. I actually brought them with me to and from work so I could keep an eye on them. I now know that what I've done should be successful and I will return to view your video time and time again. Thank you! Kathy

Hi Vita, Again another great video. I did the exact same thing as you did for starting my lavender and had great results. My plants are now over 1 inch tall and doing well. You will have beautiful lavender. Nice job.

English Lavender when from a reputable supplier that has fresh seeds don’t need stratification nor light. They will germinate without either at a great rate. They do love the heat though so a germination heat mat is great. Yours will grow faster if you continue to use a heat mat through out their growth before you transplant. They like 80-85

Thank you, I do also sprout seeds on paper towels in plastic bag!! I get good germination most seeds; I need to read more about the seeds that need to be cold for a few weeks first; makes sense for some seeds I've tried over the years that didn't come up...now I see why with your information today!! Happy growing, watching you from front range of Colorado today 3/1/424 2 feet of snow here and still going :} one of our spring dumps to give the trees and yards the much needed moisture! God bless and have a great rest of your week.

Thank you for this fantastic informative video. I purchased 20000 English lavender seeds. Can’t wait until 2 years from now. They should be a decent size by then. I will be following your directions to the letter. 😊❤

Great info on lavender. I finally know what I did wrong last year - planted them outside too early. Love the close ups on the seedling transplants 👍. Very well done video 😍 thank you 🎉

This is going to be the year the lavender will sprout! Just hope no one throws my bag of seeds away that's in the fridge.

Thanks for the info. Forgot they needed light. Saved me from that mistake.

Wow, I started 60 seeds in the fridge thinking I might get a couple to sprout. After 3 weeks all but maybe two had sprouted! What to do with all the plants???! 😂😅This coming from a girl with a “black” thumb and can’t grow a thing.

Hi there, thankyou for making an informative video..I love to listen to people that have experimented with growing seeds..
I live in England & most of the seeds we buy don't need to be put in fridge (the stratification bit)..
I have planted some seeds, but they are still really small, growing slow lol..
I even tried putting them in the fridge &think I ruined them..
But it's about finding what method is best for you, what works for one might not work for another..
This is the first video I have watched, but you saying lavender been quite hard to grow, have you tried rosemary from seed??..I have managed to grow some from cuttings, it took me long enough though..
Thankyou so so much for sharing such valuable information..
Have a great day 🍄☮️🌺🦋🍄☮️🌺🦋

Great video! I’ve found that English lavendar self sows into gravel pathways quite well. I’m always on the look out for the seedlings in summer thing so I can pot them up. I’ve sown some fern leaf or Egyptian lavender this year that has grown quickly and flowers the first year. It doesn’t do so well in our wet winters tho!

I was gifted a munstead. I thought I had killed it, but I believe it's coming back up from the root, or self-seeded somehow. I'll know when it flowers if it is. I'm also glad to know of the color difference as I've also winter-sowed directly in the garden the English lavender. Had a tough time with the i.d of the plant, but think I found it now.
