Yes.. Recoilless Rifle can do this now in Helldivers 2

The GR-8 Recoilless Rifle got a huge buff to its damage in the latest patch of Helldivers 2, now it feels like a real Anti-Tank Weapon.

So far I have been really enjoying the new update patch. Finally we feel powerful yet fragile again.

The game is about decimating hordes of enemies as a team. Im glad that we now have weapons capable of doing that, considering having to mag dump a single medium bug or bot doesn't really make for a good horde blasting experience.

The slow reload speed and the backpack needed feel like a perfect trade for the damage output in my opinion

Let’s not forget that we can reduce the reload time of this bazooka by almost a second. When the shell is loaded, we can see in the bottom left corner that the shell is already in, but our character is still finishing the loading animation. At that moment, we switch to the primary weapon and then immediately back to the bazooka, saving 1 second on the reload time.

I have been a _menace_ with the recoilless since the patch. I was already using it as my favorite weapon before, now it's just OP in my hands and I love it.

I used this on a defend map and had a teammate graceful enough to come equipped with the supply back up and served as the secondary loader, and man, it was like using this thing like a fully automatic canon. No dropships were safe... so fun

As a HD 1 Player I aprreciate super earth took away the childlock on my beloved recoilless rifle and put it back to its old glory

In my head canon of World Lore, the current enhancement to weaponry is a result of Super Earth scientists successfully extracting the weapon formula from the MLS-4X Commando, which was discovered on planet X-45.

This development has effectively increased the power of the recoilless rifle to match that of the MLS-4X Commando.

Dude you have no idea the frustration I had with Factory Striders before this patch. Insane how strong they were. Glad they did this.
