People are roasting her for pointing to the wrong fluid, yet not recognizing the fact that this is a well put together video for all the non-car people that don’t know the basics. Thanks for putting this together CR. 200k is the new 100k, 300k is the new 200k.

I thought 200k miles was a pretty low bar for today's vehicles as long as you're reasonably good with maintenance 🤔

Almost any car will last 200, 000 miles - my 2006 GM Saab lasted 190, 000 until a tree fell on it. I sold it to my mechanic for $300 last April, he fixed it for almost $4000, sold it for $4000, and now it is 13 years old with 220, 000 on it. So yes, even GM built cars can last that long. Maintenance is everything... but anyone who knows anything about a car knows that (buying a reliable one helps some but maintenance is more important).

I have 415k miles on my 2000 Camry with little to no signs of major wear. I change my oil religiously every 5000 miles and the coolant every 3 ears. I hope to and expect to have my car another couple hundred k

If you live in the Salt Belt and want to drive your car for 200, 000 miles, you better get it rustproofed. No matter how well you maintain your car's mechanical components, you must also maintain and fortify the body in its battle against road salt. Krown Rustproofing works and there may be other brands that work as well.

Never go above 3, 000 RPM and change the oil every 3, 000 miles . Your vehicle will last longer than your life.

A million miles in an old Volvo. This is why I'm a fan of older Volvos, they may not look flashy but they are sturdy and are built like tanks.

Once a year, change the oil (I prefer Mobile 1 0w-40) and oil filter (I prefer K& N), change the cabin air filter (I prefer Bosch HEPA), top-off the fluids, rotate the tires and inflate to proper pressure (I prefer Nitrofill), and do whatever else your car manual says to do (like replacing the spark plugs (I prefer Champion Iridiums)).

Ms. Stockburger has a scary forward head posture. Take care of it before it becomes a monster.

Paying more then the car is worth is subjective. What does the car mean to you? Do you really want more payments? Is the car sound in any way?

Haha ... CR did their best to hide the badging of the vehicles :) but busted now - 2018/2019 Honda Accord for the demonstration in this video. A car that certainly can do 200k w/ ease.
