As I explain in my book this is a real cool time/money saver, if you can use a transformer converter and have to raise the voltage to run the motor at the higher voltage. It lets you use lower voltage capacitors and gives you great starting power. Remember there is no rotary converter used here which means no idler motor. It is all done with transformers. A homemade one on the left and a commercial three phase one on the right.

I enjoy and subscribe to your channel, I also have your latest book release, is very informative. I do have a ? On a phase converter, If you had a 10 hp 220v ac 3ph and used 15hp as the converter what would the efficiency of the 10hp end up being, would it be only 50% ? Thanks for the good vid.
