2. Fast upload speed

Fiber Optic will always be better in terms of upload speed for gigabit service, as that would give you symmetrical 1000/1000. Cable Internet on the other hand, due to it's infrastructure, it will always be limited in terms of upload speed, as in they give you 1000 down, but ranging to like 30 to 50 up, for example.

You actually have the wrong modem for the gig services of Spectrum. I just got my service not that long ago and they sent me a newer Modem

Once Docsis 4.0 full duplex comes out. These hybrid Fiber Coaxial systems by spectrum and comcast will be almost as good as fiber only networks .The future looks bright.

Question: if you kept Frontier fiber, how is the connectivity? Is it reliable? Do you have random internet outages often?

You should have tested wifi speed too. Frontier router is shit

The spectrum wire from the pole or ground tap to the house needs to change spectrum can give 1 gig download over the wifi.

I had issues but they fixed it. It is fantastic 500+ speed

Had Frontier for 5 days and had to call them to come back and pick up their equipment. Lost the optical signal and told me to wait almost a week for a tech to show up. This happened right before I was about to cancel Spectrum. Second bad experience with Frontier. It doesn’t matter how fast it is, if is not reliable. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Frontier said I would keep my home phone number . LIED, then took 30 days to tell me I was screwed . Just so you know .

You have to watch out with frontier. My mom has had it for years and she was paying $98/month for 200/200 and I asked them why since the prices online state it should be cheaper. So I tried switching to something else and they offered us 500/500 for $49/month which was way cheaper. We eneded up going with that, but just keep an eye on your billls after the first year or so. The Customer Service lady said you can call back in a year for discounts again. If you dont keep an eye on it I guess they attempt to overcharge! I wanted to switch to Spectrum but all the negative rewiews kind of detered me from doing so and since they decreased the amount I decided to stay for at least this year.
