This exclusive deleted scene takes us back to the Age of Legends, to an argument between Lews Therin Telamon, Dragon, and Latra Posae Decume, Tamyrlin.

The Dragon wants to strike at the Dark One and seal him away in his prison while there is still time, while the Tamyrlin has a different plan. In the end, we see the decision made, and the tragedy that befalls the world thousands of years in the making.

Some subtle changes to the dialogue that make this scene 1000% better!

I love how natural the language sounds. Other shows have the actors saying the conlang and it sounds like their just reciting, but here the actors put in work

Just a few small edits, and it's infinitely better. I'm increasingly convinced that Rafe and the other showrunners simply don't understand the basics of film-making, much less how to adapt Wheel of Time for video.

(Not a slam against them, specifically, as 90% of what comes out is made by people who obviously have no idea what they're doing)

I am slow.

But has ANYONE noticed that Lews Therin looks like an Asha'man in terms of outfit?

I think it is a rather nice easter egg.

the subtitles do so much to heal the audience after viewing the show. Thank you for your efforts

That one line coulda been changed to something like, I may be Tamyrlin, but you are the flame of my heart.

I think LTT should have been looking at the 7 seals instead of the baby. That would have perfectly tied into the ending of episode 8, if they showed Moiraine holding a shattered seal. But that's too much to ask of the showrunners...

thank goodness "reborn" was yanked out. And the transition at the end was pretty damned good.

Now that is how you do a transition. Brava

The show...what were they thinking with Lews Theron's characterization, or the framing of the conflict with the Dark One in the absolute nonsense they gave us in the show?
Thank you for putting in the effort that the showrunners refused to use.

Great transition at the end!

It always baffled me hiw they could keep the nonsensical dialogue when someone could simply change the subtitles

This is so much better than what we got! I'm downloading the torrent now...

This is seriously good. How it should have been!

All I wanted was their lines in the old tongue. I looked in the "official" script, but only the translation appears and not the dialogue in the old tongue.

Not enough. She wasn't anything but an Aes Sedai who was vocal against his plan. She wasn't "the watcher" of anything let alone the flame which only became a thing to signify female Aes Sedai after the breaking.

Great work overall, and a huge improvement... But her lecturing him on the "oath they took as Aes Sedai"?

He stood first among the servants

He wore the ring of Tamyrlin

He summoned the nine rods of dominion

Her plan was as much a gamble as his from the start, and after the access keys were lost and the gear sa'angreal themselves were threatened (and sure to be captured. The shadow advance had only been slowed and never halted since the early years of the war when the tide turned) it was her plan which served only pride. Hers. It might have been the creators work to save at least Saidar from the counterstroke, but she had no notion of that.

I call bull Lews Therin was the first among servants highest ranking of the Aes Sedai and the Bearer of the Ring of Tamyrlin which I assume made him the Equivalent to the Amyrlin but much greater. Not to mention he was the strongest and most skilled among them man or woman.

Wow this is so good! Why am I just finding this now? The first time I saw the original I wondered by they changed it to be so black and white when they could've followed the book lore and make this scene more interesting.

While I understand adaptations means changes, the way they did it felt like they were simplifying and dumbing down the story when they didn't have to and as you have demonstrated, could've easily been done.

I am still rooting for the show though. Watching the 2nd season, at least there are improvements and I hope they keep on improving.

This... this is so much better.

My only criticism (and it's more a criticism of the disregard for canon in the show than of your adaptation) is Latra being called Tamyrlin. (Insert book rant about Lews Therin being "First Among the Servants" here)

SO MUCH BETTER! I'm convinced that after Rafe is fired by Amazon and a new team is brought on board, they can re-release the first season with nothing but proper edits. The show will still suck, but it will suck less. There is no excuse for what they did to the core of the story in the TV show. It's terribly written and horribly edited. Great work and I look forward to more fan edits!

Alexander Karim as Lews Therin though. Please let him return. All the wrong choices for all the right reasons. The doom of the male Aes Sedai and the death of the Servants of All.
