I grew mine indoors with a UV lamp placed over them 12 hours a day. I also changed the water once daily and I was able to get full enough leaves to harvest after 6 days!

I’m starting some romaine today, so this is helpful. My goal is to start different kinds of greens-carrot, beet, garlic, etc.-because I like my salads with different kinds of greenery!
I’ve started green onions and they’re doing well! I also am interested in starting some tomatoes and strawberries!

You are using commercially grown produce. Use organic only. Commercial produce has inhibitors on it.

Some hypothetical suggestions to try:


1) Cut a fresh base on the bottom, to inprove water uptake, and perhaps dust the cut with rooting enzyme.

2) Instead of plain water, try a weak hydroponic solution.

No need to change water unless you keep the out under our chem filled air.
