Started growing vegetables and herbs from seed in a mini greenhouse this year. But never knew you could regrow some vegetables from grocery bought ones, so I've started with some celery, will have a go with lettuce. Your videos are so informative!

Thanks so much for this! Did you try re-growing it in soil? Like you did the onions? Would be curious to see how that lettuce grew! 😊

What would happen if you planted it in the ground? Would you get any more growth?

Would love to be able to regrow Celery Root (Celeriac). I cut them into fries and add Olive oil, Garlic and spices, then bake them until crispy so that I can enjoy super healthy french fries while sitting back and enjoying an afternoon Saskatchewan Roughriders game.

Can you use the same stem again by cutting the growths or do you have to get a new batch?

I've been cutting and coming again from the bottom up, creating a tall bare stalk. If I want to cut off the top completely now, do I have to make the cut above the oldest leaves, or can I go below that to reduce the height of the bare stalk?

I regrew mine for like 2 weeks on water then planted it in soil and grew hughe like 35 cm high( 14 inch) fat 🥬 amazing! (I usually did that with chives so I did the same )

So basically all you get is about enough for a couple bites of a very small salad? And only that one growth? That would be fun to keep kiddos entertained!

curious why the new leaves are so dark and almost curly and don't look anything like the original romaine. We just bought property in WV so will be having a garden and greenhouse. Will be following for all kinds of tips.

Will lettuce keep growing if you put it into soil after a week in the water?

Do you need to change the water often? How many times a week?
