DJI PHANTOM 2 Review - [Flight Test - Vision+ Version]

The Phantom 2 is the cheapest yet is a very solid option in their lineup. It seems to be the only one left in their lineup which they are still selling new to be able to add your own gimbal and camera or easily connect to the flight controller and use one of the 2 open channels as you please. In the P3 and now P4 versions they have become completely integrated and this option is no longer possible.

Still flies well for older tech. I have a P3A (Advanced). All the P3 versions are highly discounted now due to the release of the P4. A P3 Standard is going for about $450 last I checked. I could get another P3 Advanced BNF (since I already have the TX) for $550, which would be a good deal. Love the Litchi App. Works great if you use a tablet so you can SEE better. I use an NVidia Shield K1 .. a pretty HOT Android tablet (graphics and cpu wise). I'm still getting a handle on all the DJI Go App features, but have watched a lot of Litchi App videos, and have installed it on my tablet. One of these days, when I get some time, I'll plot out a few missions (I've actually planned a few already, but am 'chicken' to try them just yet). Nice Review .. very good video. Cheers.

So the phantom 2 vision+ comes with a gimble and the 2 vision does not? Great review, might have just sold me since I can't dish out $1000+.

I have a question since you repair drones, why does no communication between remote and the drone itself, do I need to connect the phone or app? It won't turn ON without a phone to be connected it should correct, could you describe me some steps on how to check or troubleshoot or what needs to be repaired? Thank you!

so where you turn the phantom on at is where the "send to home" marker is set automatically? or do you have to calibrate the compass then it sets it for the failsafe?

hi dustin im acquiring a phantom 2 soon comes with fc40 camera but want to use a gopro3 or maybe my own ricoh wgm1 which has stereo sound an 14megpix .i have some sj4000 action camera mounts.so maybe just need dji mount for gopro .also how is wifi range mine isnt vision version by way .steve in uk

I forgot how obnoxiously loud the Phantom 2 really is. I first got a P2 when I got into flying drones in 2019, and the MA2 that I have now it the quietest drone I have yet, and I’ve gone through 10
