Im thinking of purchasing the Phantom 2..
What are the main things needed to get it up and running properly?
At this point i know i need the gimbal, a spare battery or 2 and those prop guards
As for transmitters etc are they needed?

I use an sjcam 5000 with a phantom 2 drone.  Due to the frequency conflict I can't use the wifi.  Is there another way to see the camera view on a smart phone or tablet on the ground?

I recently bought a 350 QX3. The first one decided to unbind from the controller and wouldn't rebind. The second dropped out of the sky like a lead balloon for no reason at all and the third ( which I got today) shorted as soon as I plugged in the battery. So I took this one back rather fed up as you could imagine and they let me have a basic Phantom 2 with 50 quid off. so had to pay and extra 60 quid but I know DJI are a very reputable company. No disrespect to Horizon/Blade. I'll always recommend them as they are also very reputable. Maybe just a faulty batch. It does sometimes happen. Just a case of learning a particular quad all over again.

I am assuming you can use an SJCAM or any action cam with a GoPro mount.  Can you control the camera (other than the gimble) with the unit's remote control (that is, can you change modes etc)?

Is it true that it's not possible to see what the GoPro is seeing while flying without buying the Fatshark or similar item? You can't just use the GoPro and an iPhone for example?

I'm 16 but getting one of these don't seem to be a problem right I have practiced with a syma x5c wich is a great quadcopter but It is just too light I looking for a drone with some weight on it or at least GPS stabilisation so would you recommend tho one?
