I am  drone racer and have never thought to mess with a Phantom buddy lost his Phantom in the water and ended up with one smoked esc, after soldering out the esc I wanted to test the rest of the bird to see if it was all working, could not get it to arm seeing as how I know nothing about them, and so I found this video and had it armed in a matter of seconds, just wanted to say super thanks to you guys for the vid it really helped me out a lot

do we need to do the calibration every single time for the drone before take off. Or just done it at the 1st time fly (i just got DJI phantom2 vision plus within few hours). still charging the batteries and reading menu.

Thanks, very informative. I just picked up a Phantom 2 vision +, but camera was not included. I have the WIFI Module and everything else. Question, will the DJI app still work on cellphone, track distance, will Return to home still work, etc... Or do I need the camera? Provided I get compass calibrated. Thanks!

I’am a new owner of a Phantom 2 +. 1 week. When I land and hold down the throttle to the post, motors shut off.  When I’am 400’ or so and want to descend as quick as possible, I hold throttle as I do for the motor shut off. What componets are in play to keep the motors from being shut off till I land?

hi im buying standard phantom 2 it has fc40 camera what sort of range is wifi with smartphone ?do i need extra equipment like transmitter etc or is that just for more range.i have a hubsan 501a but needs new camera module due to crash.ive ordered that after fitting new shell.motors ok but camera lense was well glued in so broke off camera connector taking out.dji phantom on way to play with .steve in uk

Legendary video for me. I started with Phantom 2 V + and learned from this video. Then I had the Phantom 3 Standard, Mavic Pro 1 version and today I fly the Mavic 2 Zoom. I really like that video. Beautiful memories of the beginnings of flying.
