Many singers want to know their singing voice type so they know what they can expect from their voice.

Identify as female does not change one's vocal range.

You "identifying" as the opposite sex doesn't change the anatomy of your vocal cords. Years and years of exposure to exogenous hormones does

Your low notes are absolutely perfect and i would put the shakier high notes on the good luck babe part in the choruses down to a projection and support issue so i would recommend from one singer in training to another to learn to better support your head voice using your breathing and pushing the pressure onto your abdomen and diaphragm rather than throat. Otherwise it may just be a confidence issue which is so normal, keep pushing and you'll get there!!!!

So I promise I’m not transphobic or anything and I’m all about inclusion, but there are realities about transgenderism and I feel like it’s unrealistic to make it seem like someone’s voice will shift to fit the vocal range based on what they identify as. There are definitely the occasional exceptions if someone is born with an exceptionally high or low vocal range for what they are born as (like Mitch from pentatonix) and perhaps if someone takes hormones there can be changes but generally speaking it’s unrealistic to make promises like that.

I join a choir. All voice types work together in a choir. We’re a team.

The misinformation being spread here is false and dangerous. Yes, there are some biological males who can sing in the soprano range (especially pre-pubescent boys) and some biological females can sing as low as baritone, but suddenly identifying as the opposite gender from the one you are born as doesn't automatically make you a "male soprano" or "female bass." You would need to be on hormone therapy for quite some time in order for your singing voice to get that deep or high (you're not guaranteed to become a soprano or bass; it varies from person to person). Once you start it, there's no going back. I've heard so many horror stories of singers with beautiful voices who suddenly thought they were the opposite gender, got on hormones way too fast, and then regretted it later.

How is vocal range correlated to gender? Isnt the difference just because of the biological Sex?

can you please demonstrate each one so I can right away be aware of each level? Thanks!

this is misinformation. Vocal Types are classified by the passagio not the range and quality.

My range is D3-C6 (female) 🙂 but I'm afraid to sing in front of others, I discovered my voice range, thank you again for the video you made when you helped us to know the notes we can sing.
Edit, aafter a lot of exercises I can hit B6 not C6 😳

Why is it that people who sing naturally find it easy but when put to task on other things its a mission. Like a challenge to learn new things.

I don't think identifying as your opposing gender will have any effect on your vocals.
