I asked a voice teacher once if Michael Bublé is a baritone or a tenor and this was her reply:

"Well, as a voice teacher, I can definitely say that Michael has a more resonant baritone quality to his voice. He enjoys equal ease in every part of his range, but the rich timbre of his voice, particularly in his lower range, qualifies him as a baritone. I have heard phenomenal classical baritones sing as high as a tenor, but it is the rich vocal quality plus the ease of vocal production in the lower part of the range that distinguishes a baritone from a tenor".

I think she's onto something there!

This video is needed. I've seen coaches on here using vocal range alone to classify a voice. This is misleading and can damage your voice, range alone doesn't determine voice type.

Excellent info. I was told at age 32 that I was a mezzo soprano, I have a low range that extends down to a low D and I can reach a high Eb. I still have a lot of difficulty in the passagio, which is what I am trying to correct.. I have mostly sung Jazz Standards, (Great American Songbook) My voice is on the low, darker type..

My range is G flat 2 up to D5 but I am a baritone. I have a richer voice but not a dark as a bass or even dramatic baritone. My teacher has always differ some call me a dramatic tenor and some call me a lyric baritone. So I decided to say I'm a high baritone.

I wish I knew what my voice colour is... I'm an alto, I know that and it's really hard for me to sing head voice. It's super weak. My chest voice is quite strong, but the higher pitches are just really hard for me...

I am confused with my voice. I have a dark voice on a certain note.. When the note gets a bit higher, it turns totally thin and tight. I get frustrated coz I cant sing a full song sounding good all through out. There's a part that I sound so amazing then comes the refrain, then suddenly I sound a different person 😂
