Todays dayZ experience: found a pristine KA74, stepped on a landmine, broke my leg, barely dodged a sniper shot to the head, killed the sniper, made a loot stash in a pond, killed a team of stalkers.

The prefiring only works if you have a gun with a high enough RPM and ammo capacity, prefiring with a bolt action will do nothing for you.
