I have taken Semaglutide and now I am taking Contrave. My side effects from Semaglutide side effects were indigestion, gas, nausea, dizziness, and tiredness. With Contrave, my side effects are shakiness, dizziness at times, and occasionally a headache and just a little insomnia. On Semaglutide, I was so tired, didn't want to get out of bed, food just stayed in my stomach for a long time, and it bothered me at my workouts. I also had to push myself to do things.

On Contrave, I have so much energy. I now wake up before every one else and feel I could even wake up earlier if I wanted to. I have ditched my energy drinks. I feel great. I have more will to do things and I push myself harder. I feel like a different person. It's like night and day. For those reasons, I was willing to consider riding out the side effects of Contrave.

Unlike Semaglutide, the weight loss with Contrave is not immediate and will come over time as the medicine continues to build up in your body.

In regards to losing the most weight, Semaglutide is best, but for losing weight and improving your overall well-being, Contrave is the best. So, it just depends on what you need most. I think most of us that are overweight eat because of depression and needing something to fill that void.

Thanks for breaking it down for us & for citing the process of going directly to their website without your insurance.

Just found this video. I hv ADD n I am going thru menopause now. I was on Saxenda before n it didn't work for me. I also binge eat. Then my doctor put me on Contrave. I just finished my 2nd week on it n about to start my 3rd week. I hv lost weight but I am nauseous from time to time. I wonder if I should stop increasing the number of pills I am taking daily n just remain taking 1 in the morning n 1 at night. I will ask my doctor soon, cos I was super nauseous last nite, couldn't sleep even when I was tired. I did find myself with less brain fog n more energy tho. Anyway, I am gonna watch the videos on your Contrave journey n see if there's anything useful for me there. Subscribing now.

Can't you get the Contrave prescribed as the generic component parts for even cheaper?

Thank you for your video!! Yes Naltrexone is used for treatment of Opioid and Alcohol addiction at a dose of 50mg. Contrave I believe has 8mg of Naltrexone in it. I use Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) 4.5mg of Naltrexone to help with my Fibromyalgia pain. It blocks certain receptors apparently. That is also not covered by insurance as it is used off label and not FDA approved for the use in Fibromyalgia.

Crappy insurance? No kidding. My aunt's insurance does cover Ozempic at $1, 000 per month, but does NOT cover Contrave at $500 per month. Her PCP, trying to find a way to prescribe the ingredients of Contrave, separately (Naltrexone/Bupropion), found her insurance only covers Naltrexone 50 mg when its dose in Contrave is only 8mg.
State-based medial insurance does not make sense. It is illogical how much money they spend to KEEP people sick and on meds, long-term/indefinitely, instead of paying a bit more in the short-term for actual remedy=cure! We swear there is a government/pharmaceutical industry scam and we are the ones who are SKEPTICAL about any conspiracies.
