My experience with ovarian cyst symptoms was that I felt like I had to pee all the time. I planned trips around bathroom availability. Bowel movements were difficult and not very productive. Adding fiber to my diet did not help. I had a perpetual “mom” belly. Nothing that I tried helped to reduce it.
Once a new and alarming symptom appeared I sought medical help immediately. I found out that I had two very large ovarian cysts. In my case the only solution was surgery. That new and alarming symptom was severe right sided pain. My right ovarian cyst / ovary twisted. It hurt so bad. I thought that it just had to be appendicitis but the symptoms of appendicitis did not match my symptoms. Fortunately for me it untwisted quickly but that experience got my attention. I did not want to feel that pain again.
I had my ovarian cysts surgically removed and I feel so much better. The urgency to pee is gone and bowel movements are back on track. I’ve had to tighten my belt by several notches too.

Thank you so much for making well-structured easy to understand videos for educating us. I can tell a lot of effort has been put in to organize and present these topics. Can't appreciate it enough!

I had a 9 cm dermoid cyst, no symptons at all until the torsion started. The pain was something out of this world, I was unable to stand on my feet or breath. Eventually I stopped feeling my arms and legs, cause I wasn't breathing and the oxygen supply was so little. I thank the paramedics that were so firm with me and didn't put me in a stretcher until I started breathing. I ended up with laparascopy to remove the cysts, but later on a hydrosalpinx developed and the tube closer to that ovary became blocked :-( I'm a very healthy person in general, regular cycles with no pain, and nobody in my family has had something like that, so the cause for me is a mystery...

What I would like to know is why the radiologist called my cysts "complex"? Does that mean the cysts can be any of the 5 type of cysts? I also would love to know why I have 2 complex cysts on one ovary?

I had two cysts grow during my IVF process. I was able to continue since they weren't actively affecting my hormones. Thank goodness!

I had a 9cm dermoid cyst. Didn’t know I had one unlit I woke up one day with a dull unbearable pain and discomfort. Ended up in the ER because I could not sleep and barely walk from the pain. Found out it was a dermoid cyst that had teeth and hair and ended up getting the cyst and ovary removed. I have been in birth control (the pill) for a few years and have had normal ish periods. With getting a cyst removed are there hormone imbalances? And if so how can you balance the hormones?

I have 4 large cysts right now and had no clue other than having to pee 24/7 and having a very full bloated abdomen. So glad I'm not experiencing any pain with them.

Thank you for your videos! Could you talk about the chances of metformin messing up your cycle instead of helping?
