FORWARD BAY PARK MISTAKE: How to fix it. POV driving instructor talk through 😎

Forward bay park can be easy to mess up if you don't get the reference point right. This video shows you how to fix it if you get it wrong.

The main thing is to relax and have a plan before doing anything. On your driving test, the examiner won't tell you if you are in the bay properly or not, you will have to realise it yourself and then figure out how to correct the mistake.

Correcting it will get you 1 minor driving fault but that's much better than getting a serious fault for control.

Quick question, when you say line the right mirror up with the first line of the bay you want to finish in, do you mean line the right mirror up pinpointed in line with the first line of the bay or line the mirror up with the first line from the view of where we are seated so the mirror is in line with the line not technically but from where we are seated?

So what is the reference point for front bay parking (point for start of cornering) I also drive ford focus, and Im still confused when to start turning (in case when width of lane in one direction is about 2.75m)? Thanks

Would this be a serious fault if you are in the middle of 2 lanes and then re adjusting or a minor?
