Best HRV Monitor and Cardiac Coherence app (cheap vs expensive options)

These are the best HRV Monitors and cardiac coherence apps I've used. I'll show you 2 options. One cheap and one expensive.

Download my free breathing exercise app Pocket Breath Coach!

I've used these HRV monitors and cardiac coherence apps for over a year now, and it's been life-changing.

They've helped me gain control of my stress levels by continually practicing getting into coherence.

And I feel more energy throughout the day because I know how to control my heart rate variability.

Thank you for this review! The Inner Balance monitor happens to be 25% off, right now for the holidays. Just got it for $119 instead of $149 :) Sharing this in case someone else watches this video in the next few days!

This helped so much. I can save so much money with Kyoto and downloading a coherence app

Very nice review! I look forward to reading your book, thank you for that! As a former meditator, it is nice to get back to balance knowing a more about breathwork. You look very grounded and balanced, that alone speaks for itself as a good result, well done you!

Heartmath Inner Balance is not a HRV monitor, it's a HRV trainer!

Luke, thank you for the review. Since you did this video in 2019, I wonder if you have had the chance to try HRV on other devices like the fitbit? As I consider which device to purchase, it would be great if there is a device that reflects not only your HRV but your heart rate, respiratory rate etc.

Thank you for the video, you have been very comprehensive and of great help.
Do you recommend inner balance because of its app or is it more accurate than kyto?
unfortunately the Kyto I would be forced to take in China and in addition to long waiting times there would be customs costs for Italy, so it would cost me much more.
Are there other cheap devices as an alternative?
would smartwatches be valid (which ones to consider?)?
I can't find the app you use in the video for iOS, can you point me to apps similar to the one you used?
i tried different apps but i don't see them as suitable for breathing as the ones you used.
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏

Hi Luke, The Coherence Heart Trainer does not seem to be available now (in my area). What is the second best app you would suggest?
Thanks and Appreciate the great videos!

Hi Luke. Thanks for your videos. The Kyto fitness is compatible with which software? Do you think that one can start with the kyto device as a start. Does it give you HRV and coherence graphs?

Hey man great review! However I was wondering if the breathing pacer optimizes to the speed that helps you personally get the most coherence, or if you have to manually try different paces and just look at what setting gave you the best results (because that may take awhile?) Also, is the ratio of inhale to exhale always set to an 1:1 ratio? or can you make the exhale longer on the pacer? Thank you!

Elite HRV & polar H10 strap seems to work well.

Hi Luke. Thanks for the info. Does a simple ear clip sensor work?

Hi Luke

Thank you for that informative video! I have one question, when you compare the kyto and the heartmath monitor side by side means one on each ear paired to different phones, are the readings the same or do the differ a lot?

Another question, from your experience are monitors which use optical technology like the heartmath really worser than monitors which use electrodes in terms of accuracy? I have read so...

Last question, did you find a way to use hrv monitors in order to tell you whether you got lost/ wandering mind or not?

Really appreciate taking your time to answer my questions!

the heartmath monitor may have a fancy app behind it, but its build quality isn't anything to write home about at the price point

Hi Luke, what do you thing about apps that use your phone camera to measure your HRV?... probably not so accurate, but wanted to know how they compare with a device like the Inner Balance. Thanks! Best
