It says file not supported in the gallery. The image doesn't even show up in my files.

Thank you! It worked for me. One pic I wanted to send (share) with Message + was "not recognized media format, " maybe because the extension was capital JPG instead of jpg? I renamed the pic by adding extra letter in its name and I made lower case jpg extension. And that worked! It wouldn't let me just change extension from upper to lower case, before I changed name by adding (or removing) a letter in it. Weird stuff. But this worked perfectly well!

It's not working. Mine says jpeg, and is unsupported file, I rename it to .jpg and it still doesn't work.
It says it's jpeg but says file size is 49 b now.

it work👍 some of my photos became unsupported fomat and it go to lost.dir folder and i tried to rename a file name and add .jpg and it works....

what if i already have it on jpg but it is unsopported file, i lost over 20gb in images and videos today btw because of my sd card

I took a video with my phone as evidence of something bad happening to a friend of me. But i had very little space left on the phone. So when i shrunk the video down and back up again did the mp4 file get corrupt and is suddenly unsupported.

Hi the file I'm referring to has an extension of jpg but somewhere along the way my Android or Samsung or whatever system is not recognizing a JPG extension

I uploaded a jpg file to Google drive by clicking the "share" button. Its uploaded, I located the file in my Google drive and it had worked

it happened to my photos on SD Card. What i did was I, from the file manager, I select to 'unmount' the SD Card, and 'mount' it back. Phew!!!

What if you don't know WHICH file is giving this error? How do you find the file that's causing this error?
