Hit and Run Car Accident, Driver Fled - Can There Still Be a Case?

The driver was never caught. Sarah asks, did she ruin her case by failing to get the tag number from the at-fault vehicle? My girlfriend got in an accident a yea ago in Vermont the guy she accidentally hit drove off in a hurry police where called not buy the driver that got hit so it was left alone for awhile a year later he filed charges stating that he wants to press charges with an open jury saying there for injury’s he has from a year ago and damage to his car I just find it suspicious that he drove off that day and waited till a year later to file charges is there anything we can do?

Hi in my cituacion i was driving to pick up a passenger when suddenly a driver cut me on the freeway in front of my line and he stop provoking me to crash my vehicle in the back off his car there was not traffic at all and i never thought he would do that well he ended flew from the accident location but his car was mot in the condition to drive to far so he call a frind to go pick him up and he left his car there police came the firetruck and the ambulance to they took me at the hospital i have a talus fracture and my leg a bit cut i explain at the police officer what happen but he ended putting me as at fault and later that same day after 10 hrs he call to report he got hit in the of his car on the freeway but because he was scare and confuse he call a friend to take hik home and the all he remember that he was going in a legal speed and that was supposed me going at high speed but that is not true now i don’t know what to do please can you tell me if is anything i can do to win the case im from california

The city auto allotment is not safe. The sidewalk plow that nearly severed my arm was in the blind spot of the allowed left and right hand turns into pedestrians
