Juniper Bonsai care

This is a free lecture from our Bonsai Intermediate Course. The teacher, Bjorn Bjorholm, studied Bonsai art for over six years in Japan. He explains the wide variety of Juniper species, including Shimpaku varieties, Procumbens, Sabina, Rocky Mountain, California & Sierra Junipers - and discusses the characteristics of the species, evolutionary history and styling techniques.

Guidelines for Junipers:
Repotting - Anytime during the year, but in spring just after the foliage begins to green up is best.
Fertilizing - Year round for weak trees. From early spring through late autumn for healthier trees.
Pruning - Anytime during the year, but best done once in early summer and again in late summer.
Wiring - Year round, but best from early autumn to late spring.

I am a big fan of his work...but this is way too overly styled and to symmetrical for my taste! It looks like a Samurai helmet! It could use some more open spaces and rhythm.
But he that is just me!😜😉 Thanks for posting!
