Just bought a Musso. With lift kit, tyres, canopy, racks and heaps more $11k of extras for $45k.
Still cheaper than all these cars except the GWM. now the ride is awsome better clearance and carrying. It's the quietest ute I've driven.im happy it doesn't matter what test reviews say. I go to Fraser Island alot and the most towed cars I see are hiluxes rangers and navaras.
Go figure. My neighbours hilux has been towed 3 times.

In 2023 I test drove all the four-wheel-drive Utes currently on the Australian market, the Musso comes out on top, is the quietest drive, has the most room and is the most comfortable,
Bar None!!! not to mention the most affordable, looks like Korean cars are the one to beat, you know Hyundai, Kia and Ssangyong…

I'm just going to say what many of you probably also suspect: this isn't so much a comparison video as it is a ranking of utes by how much the manufacturers bribed, errr, sponsored the channel. For that reason, I would be sceptical of all opinions and reviews from this channel.

The GWM review a few months ago by this guy was totally different

Extremely Harsh test on the GWM.Contradictive of what was said a few months ago in a video..

It's interior is first class for starters, and I don't understand how it had the worst rated running costs, when it has the same 7 year warranty as ssangyong, but even has capped servicing..

Almost feels like someone at Ford and or other big companies told you to talk up there severely overpriced utes, and trash the severely undervalued GWM's that they are shit scared of..

Ssangyong results particularly seem really contrary to most other reviews in terms of its towing, load carrying and particularly off-road abilities.

The super select on the Triton is so overlooked. You can drive on sealed roads in 4x4 or all wheel drive technically. It's a great price and the GLS and GSR come with leather appointed heated seats.

Mostly this video springs into my mind the thoughts "first world problems" and "proudly sponsored by Ford"

NO VW AMAROK WOW HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE THAT IN THE LINE UP.

That interior in the ranger reminded me of a 90’s taxi. Not sure how it wasn’t on the bottom in that category.

Very nice video but I wish if you have given points for what are the cheapest trucks like giving them a lead because they are competing with trucks that are like 2 times the prices.

The best one is the one you own and does what you need it to do they are all nice in there own ways 👍

That was very different. Other reviews have totally different conclusions. Not convinced to buy the Ranger xlt just yet. Good try.

I'll stick to 4x4 24/7s unbiased reviews for dual cabs thanks.

The price of these dual cabs is getting ridiculous

Ummm doesn't the Cannon also have a 7 year unlimited km warranty with 5 years roadside assist and capped price servicing?

Lol ford xlt did absolutely terrible in breaking but still wins in performance

Why did the Musso rank LAST in performance which includes braking performance when it was fourth best in wet braking? And how is it that other testers have recorded sub 10 second 0-100 times with the Musso? (See Car Expert 9.92 seconds). I would have thought the woeful wet braking performance of the Ranger would have seen it relegated towards the bottom given it took seven metres longer to stop than the Musso? That's the difference between missing a pedestrian or killing them.

I'm not sure this so-called ultimate torture test delved properly into all areas of what ute buyers want. What about fuel economy and everyday driving comfort and refinement. When I test drove the Ford I was expected to be blown away, but I was seriously underwhelmed by an overpriced and somewhat dated vehicle. But the Ranger just kept coming up trumps in this review. And where is the Amarok BTW?

Maybe you guys need to go back to the drawing board when it comes to YouTube. Looking at the number of subscribers (less than 28K!), the negative comments, and the thumbs down ratio it's clear something ain't quite working.

I have purchased more copies of your magazine over the years than I care to remember, since I was 11 years old in fact. You used to be numero uno in cars in Oz, but now it seems like there is a sniff of arrogance based on who you think you are and who you were. I have an inkling the great Peter Robinson might be less than impressed.

I haven't seen a good genuine test done for a verey long time, and you never will .

Can someone explain to me how the SsangYong get's 7th in the dry braking and 4th in the wet braking, yet it apparently did poorly in the braking test. WTF?
