When was the first time you got engine oil for your machine?

My car recommends 5W-30 but i live in the tropics and there is NO need for such low W numbers so i run this 10W-40 and it's really good.

Hello I am from Surabaya (Indonesia) I am always used Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 in My Car since I bought this car, Daihatsu Xenia. When start and Run, the Engine very smooth running. Many people said, like an new Car Engine, even though My Car production since year 2004. Good Job Castrol Magnatec, be innovated in the future 🙏🙏

I used Molyslip oil additive in my 1967 classic Mini ( Molybdenum based) .Sold it in '69 .Bought a Mk 3 Spitfire, did 20, 000 miles in 12 months.Used Castrol 20/50 in the Mini. Same in the Spit.

We used slick 50 in the 80s and 90s for added protection for engine parts

Shame they discontinued Magnatec in the US !! Only choice we have for Castrol 10W-40 is standard GTX or GTX high mileage blend :(

I got a 97 ej255 with 350, 000 miles, yeah im in the states haha. Just picked it up thinking about running 10w-40 to keep compression up

Castrol is short for caster oil which is a throwback to world war 1 aviation when they used to fill the aeroplanes up with it.

I have always been told if your main journeys are short door to door it is best to use thin oil, if journeys are long and on faster roads to use a thicker oil

268k km no problems castrol 10w40 magnatec API SP but I noticed the new castrol SP has a different small than the old 10w40 castrol magnatec API SN I wonder way🧐

I have had this ad pestering me since "the hgv driver shortage fuel embargo" and now it has broken a video I was watching . So they have said their peice and now I have said mine.

You are right, castrol oil is the best buy and expensive, so when people buy online your find a suitable oil for your car but your see a few makes as well and the prices, every one I know will buy the cheapest oil, when you buy from a car shop oil your find thay will get you the cheapest first because most customers say is that the cheapest one, look at it this way when you go food shopping you are still looking for the cheapest product. hi first of all great informative video. 2nd can you suggest oil grade for a 660cc Japanese 2022 model car? at the moment i am using 0w 20 fully synthetic for my car. keeping in mind weather condition is 40 degree Celsius or 104 Fahrenheit.
