About a week ago, TTTE Twitter was riled up by this new concept of Proteus. I was very motivated by the alternative view, and decided to create a small horror-themed short. I utilised Riley's advanced camera, that can only be obtained if you're a 5$ patreon for Carson Marenka! I had loads of fun shooting with it.

First video I've shot on my new PC btw, expect my TRS19 videos to be rendered in full 60 frames per second!

The addition of the camera movements add to the spooky atmosphere. Really enjoyed this.

I think what is gonna happen next is that they are gonna find his Duncan’s lamp or face on a tree or under the bridge, and then they will realize that someone took him into hell (probably idk)

This was by far one of the most horrifying, cinematic and genuinely disturbing works in ghost stories to have ever come out of this fandom. Absolutely phenomenal. As a horror fanatic, I loved this. The fact that there was AN ACTUAL ghost and something actually happened, something TERRIBLE really sold it for me; a deviation from the—while sometimes well executed and charming—norm of there being a “real, logical explanation” instead of any supernatural activity or the ghost simply not hurting anyone. No, this took all liberties and went full force: complete horror, ruthless and merciless and extremely hostile. Characters are harmed, left scarred, or even KILLED or worse, tortured and turned into a ghost or terrifying example of some sort. Duncan was the obvious choice on the Skarloey Railway, as much as I love the guy. This, was, just, phenomenal. I’ll be honest, as a lover of horror, I actually SHAKED and shivered for a good few seconds during the ‘Proteus takes Duncan scene’ and genuinely felt fear. That is something not many Thomas stories not horror in general have really been able to provide or provoke in me in a while although they provide great thrills, discomfort (wanted lol), creepiness and eeriness and sometimes shock and fear, at least for the characters. So for this I applaud you greatly. Well done my friend, you gave it your best shot and you gave/made a DAMN well-done and magnificent performance+video that deservingly serves as a perfect example for users to be inspired by (both newcomers and veteran users, hopefully this will encourage people to begin to go above and beyond and simply break ALL of the ‘rules’ (in Thomas stories) and go all out in their own distinct but grand style and story+direction, and simply be as dark or brutal as they please—something the fandom has been doing more lately and I’m not gonna lie I ALWAYS love seeing the darker content and the more and more greatly mature content that releases, the more that will be inspired by them and release their own potentially in the future, it’s an endless cycle of influence and inspiration. But also, this serves as, in my opinion, a new all-time-high for the fandom and all of our works entirely. Keep up the good work man, I can’t wait to see what all you crank out next, regardless the content or the wait. You are very talented my friend and a great filmmaker, that is for sure.
