22 Places to Explore in Portland - Portland is an awesome city full of great food, unique attractions and awesome outdoor activities. I love spending time there and made this video to share some of my favorite spots in Portland.

Braking Cycles is a non profit coffee shop that helps young adults that come out of group homes that don’t have that many life skills or are unsure on the next step to do in life.
They have a great coffee and have a great mission.

This video made me a little homesick as I lived in Vancouver (just outside of Portland and across the Columbia River for those of you who don't know). Now I live outside of Philly. I miss the PNW.

As I scrolled through the comments I realized It always amazes me how a percentage of the population feels a need to be negative. This article is ""22 to Things to Do in Portland, OR" and as a native Oregonian, I agree with the writer. I've done about 98%, (I've missed some of the food/beverage suggestions.) Nowhere does he suggest moving to Portland or tell you how livable the city is. Portland, like any major city has it's social issues, such as the homeless and traffic, but that is not what the article is about. So enjoy his suggestions and add positive ideas of places to explore you feel he missed, like The Shanghai Tunnels and or The Victorian Mansion. An additional note, while Voodoo Donuts is not my favorite place for donuts, it is unique and features one of a kind donuts. That is worth exploring for nothing else than to check the place out and to say you've been there, i.e. worth exploring.

Quarter world is a awesome place to visit! It's a bar with a cool arcade attached. I always have fun going there!

This is the best “what to do in Portland” videos that I’ve watched, in researching my upcoming trip.

I highly recommend Vista house if any of you plan on going out to Multnomah falls. If you have the opportunity, I would just drive all of the old historic highway 30 and you will see a ton of beautiful waterfalls that are usually much less crowded than Multnomah falls. I live only a few miles away from old highway 30 and i take my motorcycle out a few times a week just to ride that road and it blows me away every time. Also just an hour out of portland is the Mt. Hood National forest. Portland is a disgusting city and i highly recommend spending as little time as possible there. The streets are flooded with used heroin needles...

I moved from Florida to Vancouver WA and just recently went to the Japanese and rose garden! Absolutely beautiful !!

What about the food carts. I'm a Portland native and I've found some of the best food in town is the carts. Cuisine from everywhere in the world.

Hearing you talk about the trams made me think about all the times I used to ride on them when I was younger. OHSU (The college that the trams are connected to) is the place where I got diagnosed with type one Diabetes when I was five. I'm nineteen now and I still go there for my Diabetes appointments. I always like to look at the trams because of the nostalgia I get from it.

I really loved Ruby Jewel for ice cream (Marionberry!) and Habibi for their mezza platters!
