It's so easy to look at other artists' work and feel inadequate, leading to self-doubt and a lack of confidence. Let's explore how we can overcome this challenge and focus on our unique artistic journeys, especially when it comes to sketchbook drawing.

We'll discuss understanding that everyone's journey is unique, focusing on your own progress, limiting exposure to social media, embracing your unique style, and seeking inspiration without comparison. Remember, your creativity is valuable, and your journey is unique. Keep creating and enjoy the process!

Passport in one hand and sketchbook in the other, Chris Wilson is a wildlife artist exploring and drawing this mysterious world of ours.

Isn’t it ironic: that feeling of dread that can accompany comparison. yet often we were denied the witnessing of these other artists developmental journeys. And I don’t think it was because they didn’t want share, but were also conditioned to believe that that part of of their art journey wasn’t relevant or significant to another artists journey of self discovery. I just feel lucky that some of my favorite pieces to look at were the sketches of Alan Lee! That’s why I love looking at yours! Like those grasshoppers; such life! Such character!🙏🏽

I like your art! I also like to sketch with ballpoint pen and your videos thought me to sketch freely again... to find the fun and play again. Thank you! <3
