A lawyer will take her case, bill her thousands and when she loses he’ll convince her to appeal and bill her thousands more. She will lose again plus pay the nephew’s legal bill. She actually consented to his name being on the ticket. He did not sneak it on. She also made a reference to sharing. All on her. Very weak case.

He seems like a nice kid. He went to buy it for her, he obviously does errands for her, and when she flipped out he left and didn't bash her.

I hope it goes to court and Tyrone ends up with all the money! lol

Now she's gonna lose more money paying lawyers.

It's obvious she'd be arguing for the consolation prize too if they won. I hope the one thing she doesn't split is the legal bill.

I'm on the nephew's side. If I were him I'd take that money and get as far away from that family as possible.

This will be on loto winners who lost it all.

In all fairness, the Nephew should offer to pay her back for half the cost of the ticket. That way she can at least afford to buy a cup a coffee to wake up after realizing she just blew all her winnings on lawyers and court costs!

Big $$ brings out the DIS in Dysfunctional. My thoughts: it's a 'he said' v.s. 'she said' situation...and his name is on the ticket. Split it 50/50 and be thankful someone just gave you $600, 000.00

You want it all then go physically buy the ticket and sign it. Send someone else to buy it and they sign it be glad they signed yours too.

Get ready to part with half the winnings and pick up the tab on your nephews legal fees.

So sad. $600k is more than enough for her to retire on in Atlantic Canada. And the other $600k is a wonderful start to his adult life. He can pay for his education, a home and a vehicle plus money left over to put in the market and let compounding interest do it's thing. By the time he is her age, his investment might very well be worth the full 1.2 million.

The judge is gonna let him keep it to pay for his college education and stuff lol

Internet, after she's spent all her money on court fees, please do your thing and raise money for Tyrone!

Barb has died. I wonder who has her side of the money now that she’s pushing daisies 😂

So…
It went from $1, 222, 639

Them losing half to attorney fees because she took them to court.

And they split the remaining half with him getting $350, 000 and
Her getting $261, 319.50…

Wow that’s wild. You get greedy you lose money.

I feel sorry for the nephew. He seems like such a sweet kid with a nice smile and even she said he was like a son to me. That now he has to battle with his aunt and have the scar.

Will a bank honour those cheques if they know a lawsuit is pending? Or will they freeze the funds until it’s settled? Can they even do that?

You don't really know people (even of your own family) until money is involved
