After you steam the crab claws I shock them in ice water so the meat doesn't stick to the shell when cracking them open.

I’ve always been a snow crab fan, but recently tried Jonah crab for the first time and fell in love! Not only is it close to snow crab, but it’s also constant in taste!! Loved it!

My dad grew up on the East Coast, Connecticut and a lot of time in Massachusetts, I used to always tell me about seafood boils, on the beach sometimes, his eyes would light up when we talk about seafood even though we lived on the West Coast.
You can't get in between an East coaster or a New Englander and their seafood!
Man I miss him every day. Hug your dads for me. I'd do anything to be able to.

When I was a kid, we knew Dad was bringing home crab for dinner because we’d see mom spreading the newspaper on the table! Whenever he had a delivery near the seafront, he would stop and pick up 40 pounds of Jonah crab on ice and drive it home After work. The entire family would sit around the table, Crackin, crabs… I was growing up before I ever tasted lobster, but we had crabs often. They were cheap and meaty.😊

I was raised near San Francisco, California and my dad would go down to the docks at Fishermans wharf and pick up a couple of live Dungeness crab. The meat in the body was the best part. And then he would also make something he called crab butter from a gland or a brain or something… it was very tasty, but I preferred the other parts
