This is an alternate version of Ron and Hermione's kiss from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2". I took the uncut, raw footage from the Behind-The-Scenes feature, keyed out the greenscreen and applied color correction. It shows a much clearer shot of their kiss. I hope you all like it!

It really is odd that they cut the only section where the kiss was very visible. It just feels like bad film making because there were obviously cameras on both sides. Why would they just include the shot from the side where the kiss is obscured? Or if they just wanted it from that angle they should have had Rupert tilt his head the other direction.

I’ve always been so mad about the angle of the kiss they decided to use in the movie. Because they had this alternate version right there. Not to mention both Rupert and Emma said it was difficult and awkward to get through the kissing scene because they’re like siblings. So if they were just gonna use the angle where Ruperts hair covers everything, then why even torture them and make them kiss in the first place? 😂

I loved their love story. It was great because it wasn't perfect. It was teenage romance. When their feelings started to be realized like in Half Blood Prince it turned into jealousy and heartbreak. It was just a matter of time before they both matured enough to fully realize their true feelings for each other.

They should've use this version. If there's one David Yates is terrible at it's filming kisses. During both Ron and Lavender AND Ron and Hermione's kisses, all you can see is the back of his head. We want to see both their faces! Same goes with Ginny and Harry kissing in the Burrow. We see Harry's face well enough, but again, just the back of Ginny's head.
