I might be wrong but Ron & Lavender's relationship never seemed to be anything more than infatuation. I don't know if she would ever show any interest in him if he wasn't successful in Quidditch.
On the other hand, Hermione has always been with him & supported him no matter what.

Fact :- lavender didn't broke up with ron cause he said Hermione's name, in She saw hermione and ron come down the stairs together and she thought they were upto something but she wasn't aware of harry who was hiding in his cloak and walking with ron and hermione. That's how they broke up
