As they sway back and forth, they share a tender moment where they almost kiss. However, Hermione quickly pulls away and looks away, realizing that her heart belongs to Ron. I always thought the scene was about two friends being there for eachother in hard times, trying to make the best of difficult situations. Just trying to cheer things up. If they had to create romantic tension... They failed😬

There are even people that are saying that Harry wasn't considered Hermione even as his best friend. That Ron was more important for him.
At least in movies Harry loves Hermione with all of his heart, this is what I can see.
Hermione at that point gave everything for him, her parents, she didn't leave with Ron, her education, she was ready to die. What else did she have to do to be loved?

This is an example of the director, ignoring the source material, and trying to create something while ignoring the story and characters arcs before that point in time. This is exactly Ron's fear, it would have torn his and Harry's relationship apart. It would had validated everything locket horcrux said to Ron. This is an example of David Yates feeling his ideas are better than the original source material, and from this creating plot holes, and ruining good character relationships without looking at the bigger picture.

In the books, Hinny and Romione were the perfect ships but in the movies, there was more romantic tension between Hermione and Harry so I ship them more in the movies
