Parents need to step up and start parenting their kids and monitor the content their kids consume and who they interact with.

Kids online late when parents asleep. 4yr olds online talking to strangers. Ive seen kids curse out adults, simulate things to get attn. Others talking with 40yr olds!, and grabbing onto adults for attention. Parents to self absorbed or sleeping. Get your kids offline!.

The question is, how does this kids get access to guns, if you as a parent know that your kid shows signs of this type of behavior and if you have guns at home you should be responsible enough to keep your kid away from them for their own good and everyone around, it is just inconceivable that this type of situation keep happening.

Why do people buy guns for their teenagers? Like I understand if people want to teach their kids to shoot but they need to keep the guns locked up at home and they should not be buying guns for their children

I believe she still have mental issues and she hid them. But why did her parents buy her a gun that is the question.

There's a lot of conjecture, guessing, and outright opinions in many of the comments regarding this tragedy. People really ought to be more reserved until ALL the facts are in. But as a retired supervisory l.e.o., and military & federal physical security inspector I will say that more schools need a security program whereby ALL persons entering school premises are screened for contraband... each & every time - without exception. And behavior which is often predicate to violence like this needs to be adequately addressed.
