Lol we knew he wasn’t an atheist by the flannel shirt and canvas shoes. He got that youth pastor starter pack on! Great video though.

As a non believer my self, I highly respect this man for the strength of his faith, along with being able to stay respectable during a debate. Being open to possibilities and chang is important for your own being whether your a believer or not. You have my respect.

I honestly think that people didn't get the gist of his message or the whole reason why he introduced himself as an atheist and not a Christian first. After watching the whole video, what I took from it was that he did this to show or test how we Christians react to other people's believes. I feel it was to test how well we can love even while we may not be comfortable with what we're seeing or hearing. And that christians should be more loving in their approach to others who do not share the same faith. Now, I'm saying all these things because I still see people in the comments below, openly abusing each other even though the whole point of the video was love.
I'm a Christian, and I normally don't like commenting on social media because of the very reason that people are unnecessarily mean especially when it gets to the topic of religion. There's a way to get your point across without insulting one another and it seems a lot of people not just Christians do not understand this. I think we should learn how to communicate especially at this time period.

I've never typed anything so long(・o・;)

Makes me realize I need to study more and be able to defend my faith better.

This is amazing. These kind of conversations are what encourage others to look deeper into their faith and actually urge them to have sober and genuine questions about God. As a Christian, I believe we should be able to defend our faith and test it. I used to be skeptic, and it was these kind of challenging discussions that drove me to seek God, and by His grace, eventually find Him. I don't have all the answers, but I can still find my joy and satisfaction in Christ, and as each day passes I find that He is more true than anything and anyone else I've ever known.

This is Great. Forcing young Generation to really think and be able to debate their beliefs. I wish I had this back in school instead of always relying on older generation to be able to debate.

People keeping saying "Oh I knew he was a fake atheist"
Do you understand how difficult it is to argue against your own beliefs?

I had a humanities professor years ago ask us what kind of fruit did Adam and Eve eat in the Bible that plunged mankind into sin. Without any hesitation nearly everyone said “an apple”. Myself included! He explained it would be impossible for an apple to grow in the Middle East. I remember asking my wife this who quickly let me know that the Bible says Adam and Eve “ate of the fruit”. I was ashamed as a Christian I did not even know this basic truth to rebut. It’s important not just to believe but have an answer for why you do.

I’m agnostic and I actually like what this guy is doing. More Christians need to hear his last 15 mins and let it sink in

I like his ending statement about why folks get defensive. Now, more than ever, people make a fist before the person disagreeing even finishes talking. Be sound in your beliefs study, practice, listen to others.

The most true and important thing he talks about is in the last 15 minutes when he talks about needing to show love and friendship when we share or invite or talk about our faith, or about anything at all. This day and age is filled with so much hate and divisiveness -- as Christians we need to stand apart from the world in that way.

As an atheist I was trying not to like this, but have to admit he did a great job.
