This young man spoke clearly, eloquently, and raised valid points. And the audience just laughs at him for his weather prediction comment.

Man, I really thank you for allowing us to hear the entire conversation before you gave your take. Too often I watch videos where the presenter constantly cuts in . Thank you!!!

I've been looking for Jesus for the past 57 years. Still looking.

I just really respect the way that each person had opposing views on a controversial topic, but they were able to hear each other out and respect each other. They both tried to understand the other.

Tony asked great questions and Christian believers should not be afraid of challenges like this.

The boy is simply searching for the truth but unfortunately he was almost mocked with shabby answers. Sad

“Whenever the prophesy doesn’t come true then it becomes metaphor”

Mic drop moment - yes that’s exactly right

The guy has a valid point… “when a Prophecy doesn’t come true it’s a metaphor”…. I personally never knew frank didn’t believe In second coming description literally. This is shocking to me! It’s describing the second coming.

I have a solid spiritual experience with an Atheist

One Wednesday night I was in church and didn't listen to the preacher's sermon and was distracted all night but 5 minutes before the church was dismissed, he goes off script and said "I don't know why but I feel like I have to tell someone tonight that if you encounter an atheist soon, tell them to challenge God". And then he dismissed the church

The very next day, there was an atheist who said to me, "hey I've been meaning to ask you, but I want to know how you believe"

I asked why and what made him ask me such a question since we're not really close friends and it was unexpected.

He goes, "well I'm an atheist but I watch you and I see that you seem true to what you stand for by how you live unlike many others and I'm trying to gather as much unbiased information possible"

I then remembered the ending message of the preacher I heard from the night before and I told him to challenge God.

He's been walking with God for over a decade now

Lov this guy, critical thinking will always win. Good job standing up to someone who has done this for years, and hold your ground. Respect!

Do these fence sitters really need signs and wonders to believe though? Luke 16:31 “He said to him, 'If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.'"

I have mad respect for anyone that actually reads the Bible and does their best to interpret it, regardless of what they believe at the end.

"Live a good life. If there are gods and they are just, then they will not care how devout you have been, but will welcome you based on the virtues you have lived by. If there are gods, but unjust, then you should not want to worship them. If there are no gods, then you will be gone, but will have lived a noble life that will live on in the memories of your loved ones."

I really enjoyed their respectful discussion. I am non-religious, and some of the main issues that I have with the bible are: contradictions, errors (scribal, numerical), admissions and omissions (not all translations and versions are equal), what I consider atrocities, plagerisms, and the inability to find the biblical claims verifyable without someone trying to hammer that square peg through the round hole.

I was actually at this event on OSU campus, and was disappointed that the audience was rude. I met up with Tony a few days later and we had a discussion on my beliefs and his own. He was very well spoken, and brought up strong arguments. Although we didn't agree, I walked away knowing he is an intelligent, resilient, and bold individual.

When asked what would it take for him to believe in the claims of the Bible, the answer should have been, “probably something similar to what you would require to believe in the claims of the Koran or any other religious text.”

Here’s a question:

Why does an omnipresent being need to communicate to you through a book?

I’m only a minute in and I’ll tell you I can’t stand the man at the pulpit. He’s loud, arrogant, and uses humor to deflect tough questions.
