This is a short information film about what it is like to have an MRI of your breasts at Southmead Hospital.

You will be met at reception by your Radiographer and escorted to the MRI scanner suite.

The scanner is very noisy and you are likely to hear it as you enter the MRI suite.

Thank you for this excellent video. I am so glad I watched it before my breast MRI today. It helped me know in advance exactly what was going to happen and really calmed my nerves. Very grateful.

Thank you! I always like to research before I have something done so there’s no surprises and it really helps with the anxiety 🙏🏻 I didn’t know there would be an injection so this was very helpful and interesting.
I still wish Sunday would hurry up so I can get it over with with though!😅

Thank you for making this video. I will be having this done very soon. The only good thing is that I will be face down and not seeing the small interior of the machine. I will be applying a calming scented oil.

I had a breast MRI yesterday. The MRI wasn’t bad at all, the IV line was the worst part. It felt horrible in my arm and caused me to nearly pass out. I think that whole ordeal took longer than the actual MRI. 🤦🏻‍♀️
