Hard for claustrophobic. All i did ws close my eyes n think of people cheering me up, strong people n a relaxing place. I was able to finish 25 mins only.. Thank God

I had mri test. Alhamdullilah i have no tumor . My results are normal and i am very happy. Hope you guys get your clear reports.

OK, I just want to update and share my experience with mri for brain scan. Hopefully, it'll help someone.
I have severe anxiety disorder, so I was very scared. I wasn't able to get a medication from my primary doctor to help me relax, and I didn't want to reschedule, so I went ahead. I closed my eyes the whole time and prayed the whole time. The first part was 25 minutes, then I got injected with the contrast (it took 3 tries, which heightened my anxiety), and then the 2nd part took 15 minutes for a total of 40 minutes. It helped to close your eyes the whole time because if you see how closed off it is, esp with the head equipment, you will panic. I wish they could make this procedure better, or hopefully, I wouldn't need it anymore. 😢

I closed my eyes all the way through.I couldn't open them.I felt suffocating.it took 35 mins .waiting for results

I'm not claustrophobic, but after brain MRI (pituitary gland) 2 days ago, with contrast I felt really bad. I was shaking all the time and waiting for this execution to end. The only motivation not to press the emergency button was to find out if I had brain tumor or not.

I had my MRI taken last week. It helped to keep my eyes closed and count. The 20 mins passed swiftly . Else it gets very boring !! Try to find rhythm in that jarring magnetic noise and it will sound like techno music 😀. Off to my contrast MRI soon . Wish me luck 😅

I had mine scheduled today, it was like in this video except it was unsuccesful I had a panic attach straight away, I was told to come back again and ask the doctor to give me a relaxing pill beforehand, but honestly I dont think there anything that will relax me enough to persevere, I just cant do it 😢

I took some Bach Flower Rescue Remedy prior. Had headphones with music. Kept my eyes shut. Asked the technician to talk to me on occasion (to let me know what was happening - made me feel less alone). I had a few seconds of getting panicky at the start, but I breathed through it and was fine. I actually spent more time stressing about this than I should of. I wouldn't do it for pleasure but it wasn't that bad overall.

Guys i am claustrophobic but believe it is not scary at all if you close your eyes . My tip for you all do not open your eyes

I hated every second of my mri mostly having to wear ear plugs ( hate the feel) and the head thing they put over your face.

Neurosurgeon looking more into superficial temporal artery aneurysm before having it removed, so I had this done last night, and waiting on results. It was an ez procedure for me...np.
