ABOUT LUDICROUS FEED

Ludicrous Feed is a Sydney-based YouTube channel that started in 2018 after Tom purchased his Tesla Model S. He wanted to show the reality of Australian daily life with his family and an electric vehicle. How’s the acceleration? Is there a noticeable lag before the power kicks in? My model 3 has no lag at all.

Also, is it possible to switch off all these artificial/generated noises when in untame mode?

I actually saw one at my local leagues club in western Sydney the other week.
I was quite surprised at how good it looks in the metal.

“Pretty pricey for a Ford” in your summary indeed. Here in NZ, Ford have dropped their price $NZ25K to try and move inventory. Even with that reduction the 3 models (RWD, AWD and GT) are still $NZ10K more expensive than the equivalent variants of the Tesla Model Y. And they are competing with Kia and Hyundai as well. The vehicle is definitely “Built for Americans”, so is spacious and comfortable inside and certainly feels more solid than the equivalent Tesla, although the door closing sound was disappointing considering it has a window frame.
That even the higher models don’t have a HUD and ventilated seats shows it is being left behind. With the imminent arrival of yet another rival, in the form of the BYD Sealion 07, you are going to have to really like the styling to pay the extra for the Mach-E.

With the recent price drop, I made the ‘mistake’ of test driving the Select LFP battery version - which BTW must be the longest range 470k WLTP LFP on the market. Personally, having owned both NMC & LFP EVs over the years, I would never go back to NMC & and still constantly amazed just how the majority of new, expensive EVs still go with this tech.

In any case, was so impressed with the Select, was far, far better than expected: steering, suspension, fit & finish etc etc. The only downside I found was the very, very busy infotainment unit which had bizillion of preferences beyond belief. Still, I also read this for many as ‘set & forget’.

Fantastic car & probably the best EV I have yet driven (and have now tried quite a few of the obvious incl. the MY which I didn’t like much). Shopping for a deal now.

I think Ford have done very well with this car, just a shame it's a bit expensive compared to it's competitors. But it's great to see competition out there. Diehard Mustang fans may not be buying this car, as they still want the traditional V8 engine but for those who like the look of the modern Mustang and also want a full EV might go for it. The tech is definitely up there which is awesome to see. Great video again Tom!

I don't mind the look of the Mach-E, but I love the look of the petrol Mustang. I wish they'd make an EV version of that body, that would be awesome.

Looks interesting. Wonder if it'd appeal to the previous high-spec Falcon owners who want to get the latest from Ford, have an EV and not look much like having an EV. :)

You should have asked the officers if they wanted to have a sit in it and check it out, maybe a short 'test' drive all at legal speeds of course. ;) Suspect some owners have or will just park perpendicular to the charger to get close enough to charge on a V2/3 supercharger. I think your right either 15A or 20A or even 16A as the case may be. Unlike the F150's that have been grey-imported the Mach-e is official Ford so has OTA and updates. I believe the Ford system is quite good for trip planning. I do like the Mach-e the door handles is what I didn't like and put me off but the rest of the car is fantastic and unlike those that think it's not a Mustang and refuse to believe it I do believe it is a Mustang('Stang) and like it and it's looks. It is a bit pricey is all but then look we have a $100k+ Kia in our midst so a $95k Mustang maybe this is the new norm, let's hope not as we need affordability to be honest with EV's.

Take it out of untamed/unbridled (depends on which market you are in) and drive it in Active or Whisper for efficiency.

No Ford typography externally, I had not realised that. I have a lot of time for this vehicle and I agree on its philosophy, but I would never buy as it’s too expensive for me. I don’t think it’s a sub for a Mustang though. It’s trying to forge a new market in the EV sphere with homage to its racing/GT history. Sort of, IMO. Thanks for the walk through.

So glad you found it a competent EV Tom, lets hope Ford can navigate all that history of wonderful engineering, production and design knowledge to an EV future. It’s unfortunate that whilst they charge a lot of money for this car they still can’t make a profit so you have to wonder as to their sustainability as a business 🤔

Yesterday finally I saw a Mustang Mach E in one street at Homebush. It looked better in person than in pictures. But I have to said: Ford is making a mistake not bringing the cheapest variant like they did in NZ. Hope one day they (Ford) will get serious and compete with Tesla.

Excellent Appraisal of this vehicle which has some amazing inclusions . I would hope Ford include a simple sliding moon roof cover in the next model as this is the only criticism I have of a vehicle which in my opinion is much better than Tesla . Great work !
