Hope you all are doing alright during this pandemic.
If you're goal is to complete Basic Para. You will need to know that this this the hardest course you can do as a army cadet. Only around 50 Army cadets make it in this course every year. It's extremely physically and psychologically demanding. After knowing that, If you are still want to do this course than here are the minimum requirement.
The MINIMUM physical requirements for para in Canada:
7 chin ups non stop on
Run 1 mile (1600m) in less than 7:30 mins
31 sit ups non stop
You MUST have achieved GOLD star.
You MUST be at lest a Sergeant.
You MUST score a minimum of GOLD in fitness .
What you should aim for:
Do 15+ chin ups non stop
Run 1 mile in less than 6:00 mins
Do 75+ sit ups non stop
What I can do:
I can do 17 non stop chin ups
Run 1 mile in 6:13 mins
75+ sit ups non stop
I can do max 125 push ups
