They're absolutely remarkable animals. I had the privilege of seeing and hearing them every day from my Aunt's house in Hawaii (Big Island). Every time they breached it was like Christmas morning as a child. The size of them, combined with their grace and agility is unfathomable until you actually see them up close. It's a spiritual experience I can't even explain. The fact that we humans have almost brought Humpbacks and other Whales to extinction is ignominious and a condemnation of our race.

A REALLY easy way to make me cry is to show me footage of whales. They are stunning creatures.

The diver who made this shots deserves an award or something because it's truly amazing.

It’s amazing how the biggest things on our planet need one of the smallest things to survive.

This narrator is THE narrator. The only one who is able to perfectly narrate to a documentary!

I am a final year architecture student in South Africa. We just finished a project where we were to design a whale watching tower. It was very fascinating to learn how the whales contribute to the ecosystem and we all depend on them for survival.

What's interesting is the melting arctic is actually helping whales rebound. The melting sea ice and Northern Rivers are letting off huge algae blooms that plankton feed off of and thus the whales feed off the huge plankton growth.

One of the best experiences of my life. Don't usually make comments. If you are a parent make this required viewing. Bribe them if you have to.
