Thanks for the info as it's still confusing because of the gray area involved but I did just recently get a couple of copyright strikes from FloSports due to track & field footage that I used in my video although it fell under fair use with just a little bit of the video shown while I did commentary over it. It's very confusing at times on what's acceptable.

Recently I made a one minute highlights of India v Australia test match by muting they commentary, just adding youtube audio library sound and definitely using clips of no more than 1 second. This way I made a one minute video and got a copyright strike.
