The standard Yamaha Ténéré 700 has been around for a few years now, despite being a fan favourite the bike has a few downfalls to be addressed, Yamaha hears this and has responded with the release of the Ténéré 700 World Raid. Is the World Raid as good as we hoped? We spent a week riding the World Raid to get a feel for the bike, hear from Damien Ashenhurst (ADV Life), Ben Townley (101 Adventures), and Adam Riemann (Motology Films) to get an overview of the new Yamaha Ténéré 700 World Raid.

Good on Yamaha for keeping tech low, but having said that I reckon it needs cruise control for those times you need to slab it.

Yamaha customers were asking for THREE things, not TWO. The third being as an optional extra for those whose adventure trips don’t include off road riding was TUBELESS TYRES AND WHEELS. Yamahahahahaha didn’t listen.
The VOGE 900 costs far less but you get so much more and will hit the Adventure (read touring) market really hard. I will keep my World Raid but my new VOGE 900 will sit along side it in the garage for now.
