Sure, Xbox’s own controllers are fantastic, but sometimes, they don’t always offer what we’re looking for when buying another one. Whether it be a simple, cheap alternative second controller for when friends and family come over, or maybe finding something with a much more premium feel and customization options, there’s a whole lot of other options we can pick from!

Yes, we know the Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 is among some of the best controllers ever made, but in this episode of Budget to Best, we’re taking a look at some of the alternatives for best 3rd party controllers for Xbox Series we think you’d love, no matter what your budget.

They need to bring down the scufs price by about $100 for it to even be considerable.

It's the scuf wireless controller for me, with the D&D dice skin. 😏

The absolute best thing about the wolverine V2 is the extra set of bumpers. You'd never realize how useful it is without using one, it surprises me more 3rd party controllers don't implement that.

Does anyone know of a controller like the thrustmaster where you can change the right analog stick to where the buttons are for xbox?

Elite Series 2 is only great for about a year. I’m on my 2nd one after MS warrantied it twice. Bumper died on the first, and now on the replacement, the bumper sticks, the Y button gets stuck, and horrendous amounts of stick drift. My Xbox friends are also having similar issues with theirs almost a year later after we all bought them.

The best controller are the ones that doesn’t stick drift which is none of them.

One of the biggest finds I’ve came across is the Turtle Beach Recon Controller. Not only does it have a great feel to it, but it acts like a DAC/Amp that you can set multiple EQ and customized settings to it. My favorite of the year for sure!

The scuff doesnt require batteries. Simply plug in a USB C and bam. Quicker response time also.

Do the PowerA controllers have the same sensitivity of a official Xbox controller?

The pink black and blue one is awesome. Does it work on PC?

Are there any controllers that are authorized by XBOX series S/X that have a “Turbo” button feature.

The problem with power A is that they are very prone to breaking. One of my thumb sticks always give out after a few months.

PowerA is a great option, very low price compared also - my only issue is I’ve only had it 7 months and I’ve been suffering from light stick drift for at least half of that, but only really the last fortnight it’s become more serious.

Other than that I’ve found it great to play with.
